Foodie Friday - Italian Salad
Well...actually the name was "Garbage Salad," but I didn't think anyone would read it if I kept the name. I am told by my husband's aunt that it all started with a wedding. Originally, they made this salad in a VERY LARGE quantity; therefore, they placed it in a new, clean, lined garbage can. Garbage Salad was created. All item quantities are to taste: Recipes are guidelines anyway, right?
Italian "Garbage" Salad - Family Size
2 avocados - pitted, cubed, & peeled
(Add lemon juice to slow browning from oxygen.)
1 or 2 containers of cherry tomatoes OR as many plum tomatoes as you like - cubed
2 cucumbers - peeled, cubed
1 lb spaghetti - cooked per package instructions
1 bottle of your favorite Italian dressing
1 Tbsp of either Italian Seasoning or Vegetable Seasoning
Mix well, Chill, and serve.
Yumm!
